The YouTube 3D Experiment

Recently I began experimenting with 3D imagery and, once I got that down, started devising how I'd make a demovideo 3D.

I figured it out, but I wanted to get an idea of what coh would look like in 3D. Sadly, I'm currently unable to create a new demovideo from two perspectives (which would be true 3D). However, I began an experiment by merging two copies of the same video, with one copy offset by one frame to give the illusion of 3D through movement.

The results look pretty promising, and can be found here. (Can't embed 3D video)

So, are we supposed to wear the red and green glasses or cross our eyes? @_@

Both, plus more. There's a drop down box in the lower right labeled "3D" that let's you adjust the viewing settings.

Wow. I tried the 2 sided screen and couldn't cross my eyes for more than about 30 seconds before the sockets burst into flames from the strain. Still rubbing my eyes and squinting. @_@

What I could see, the 3D was lost at mostly but good in a few moments. Might have to dig up a pair of red and green glasses from somewhere... Oh! There was a pair in the Coraline DVD! I'll try that later when mine eyes have a chance to heal. >_<
